What you get

A personal discount code and a code to share with your followers. Your commission rate is shown in your Refersion account. Paid in cash monthly, with no minimum payout — even a few dollars goes out that month rather than sitting in a balance.

Your code is for your own audience

Share it in your own content. Don't post it to coupon sites, deal forums, or anywhere it can be scraped and redistributed. If it leaks, we'll swap it for a new one and let you know.

Always disclose

Say #ad or #gifted, put it where people actually see it — not buried under a "more" cut or in a block of hashtags — and turn on the platform's paid partnership toggle. This applies to free product too.

The rules here are strict because our products are used on animals who can't tell us if something's wrong. If you're unsure whether you can say something, ask us first.

Don't diagnose, don't suggest our products replace a vet visit, and encourage followers to see their vet when it comes up.

SLEEPY COTTON AMBASSADOR & AFFILIATE PROGRAM PRIVACY POLICY

## 1. Introduction

Sleepy Cotton ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information about you when you apply to or participate in the Sleepy Cotton Ambassador & Affiliate Program, which is administered through the Refersion platform.

This Policy covers **Program participants**. Information collected from customers who shop on sleepycotton.com is covered by our separate store Privacy Policy at https://sleepycotton.com/pages/privacy-policy.

## 2. Information We Collect

**2.1 Information you provide:**

- Identity and contact details — name, email address, phone number, mailing address

- Social media handles and channel links

- Payment and payout information — PayPal email or bank details, as applicable

- Tax information where required — e.g., IRS Form W-9, taxpayer identification number

- Shipping address for Gifted Product

- Correspondence you send us

**2.2 Information collected automatically:**

- Usage data — IP address, device and browser type, operating system, pages viewed, dates and times of access

- Referral and performance data — clicks on your Tracking Link, conversions, order values, commissions, and the referring source or channel of the traffic

**2.3 Information from third parties:**

- Data from Refersion, Shopify, and our payment processors relating to your referrals and payouts

- Publicly available information about your social channels used to evaluate your application

**2.4 We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.** The Program is not open to minors. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.

## 3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

- Evaluate your application and administer your participation

- Track referrals and calculate, approve, and pay commissions

- **Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, code leakage, prohibited traffic sources, and other violations of our Terms & Conditions** — including reviewing the referring source of orders attributed to you

- Ship Gifted Product and manage related logistics

- Communicate with you about your account, payments, campaigns, and Program changes

- Analyze Program performance and improve our services

- Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations, and enforce our Terms

**Legal bases (where applicable, e.g., UK/EU):** performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the Program; compliance with legal obligations; and your consent where required.

## 4. How We Share Your Information

**We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.**

We may share information with:

- **Service providers** who act on our behalf — Refersion (program administration), Shopify (ecommerce), payment processors such as PayPal, email/SMS providers such as Klaviyo, shipping carriers, and analytics providers — each permitted to use the information only to provide services to us

- **Professional advisors** — accountants, auditors, and attorneys

- **Authorities** — where required by law, subpoena, or valid governmental request, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims

- **A successor** — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets

Each provider maintains its own privacy practices; we encourage you to review Refersion's and PayPal's policies.

## 5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our providers use first-party tracking technologies to attribute referrals to your Tracking Link. Refersion's tracking is designed to record clicks and attribute resulting purchases within the attribution window. Tracking depends on the customer's browser and device settings; blocking or clearing cookies and site data may prevent attribution. You can control cookies through your browser, but doing so may limit Program functionality.

## 6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as you participate in the Program and afterward as needed to: complete and reconcile payments, satisfy tax and accounting obligations (typically **7 years** for financial and tax records), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Records we no longer need are deleted or de-identified.

## 7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your Refersion credentials confidential and notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized access.

## 8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

- **Access** a copy of the personal information we hold about you

- **Correct** inaccurate or incomplete information

- **Delete** your personal information, subject to exceptions (we may need to retain records for tax, payment, fraud-prevention, or legal purposes)

- **Restrict** or **object to** certain processing

- **Data portability** — receive your data in a portable format

- **Withdraw consent** where processing is based on consent

- **Opt out** of marketing communications at any time, using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Note that we will still send you transactional and account messages about your participation and payments.

- **Non-discrimination** — we will not retaliate against you for exercising these rights

**California residents:** you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete, and correct, and to limit use of sensitive personal information. **We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law.**

We will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 30–45 days; under UK/EU rules, within one month, extendable where permitted). You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

## 9. International Transfers

We operate in the United States, and your information will be processed and stored in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Program materials may link to third-party sites and platforms. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and this Policy does not apply to them.

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new Effective Date and, for material changes, notify you by email or through the Refersion affiliate portal. Your continued participation after the update takes effect constitutes acceptance. Please review this Policy periodically.
